Reading this as one of Halsey’s former-nineties-minions-turned-entrepreneur was more bitter than sweet. Not sure why.  Perhaps because as I read it I kept thinking about the incredible amount of daily passion you have to have to be an entrepreneur as successful as Halsey.  That said, I only knew him ephemerally, though he almost fired me once.  Oh, and I ended up playing twelve holes or so with him at the Presidio one time.

Anyway, he taught me plenty and I would never bet against him. Here’s hoping our editors end up reviewing The Halsey Minor Hotel on HotelChatter and complete the circle.

Been a sleepless 7 days, but still made time to see normalcy return to the NBA from my regular seat.

Though the site didn’t really launch until January 2004, HotelChatter did have an open beta from October 27th 2003 to January 2004.  Hey, Gmail is *still* in beta so I don’t think we got carried  away with our pre-life life.  Here is what the site looked like in the beginning.

Jaunted also launched a redesign on Sunday October 26th.  This is the sites first real redesign since its July 4th 2005 launch.  I am currently in love with our new, innovative look.

HotelChatter launches a redesign, exactly five years to the day of our first ever beta site going live.  This is the thrid design scheme in the sites lifespan and we now have over 12,000 hotel stories.  Curious types can use the waybackmachine to see the others.
